On November 1, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the fruit and vegetable processing, refreshing beverage, and fruit juice production plant of Sirdaryo Limited Liability Company (LLC) in Bobojon Ghafurov District.

The enterprise has five technological production lines and manufactures plastic containers, fruit juices, and refreshing beverages. Sirdaryo LLC was established by the entrepreneurial Karimzoda brothers, and 85 local specialists have been employed at the facility.

The plant’s annual production capacity is 240 tons of fruit juice and 400,000 liters of refreshing beverages.

It was noted that prioritizing the use of modern production technologies makes it possible to process and package agricultural produce in a timely manner, prevent the loss of fruits and vegetables in the fields, increase the processing of local raw materials, and expand export opportunities.

It was reported that technologies imported from advanced countries enable the processing of products in accordance with established requirements and the production of natural industrial goods using the fruits of farmers’ labor.

It was emphasized that the establishment of a fruit and vegetable processing plant as part of the implementation of the fourth strategic goal — rapid industrialization — represents an example of the transition from an agrarian-industrial country to an industrial-agrarian country.

President Emomali Rahmon called on representatives of the private sector and relevant industry bodies to make full use of technological capabilities, increase the collection and processing of local raw materials, and manufacture competitive products for international markets.

It was noted that over the past five years alone, 74 industrial enterprises have been established in Bobojon Ghafurov District, creating approximately 900 jobs.
