Over 500 kg of hemp destroyed as part of operation “Kuknor-2016”
Dushanbe, 06.06.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Over 500 kg of wild hemp was found in the territory of the Sughd region as part of operation “Kuknor-2016”.
According to Interior Ministry of the country, in the past few days by law enforcement officers with the active cooperation of volunteer vigilantes in the course of the operation Kuknor-2016, on the territory of uncultivated lands of Asht district was discovered 77 thousand bushes of wild hemp. The total weight of wild hemp is 505 kg.
Within the framework of the annual operations is planned the identification and destruction of crops of narcotic plants, as well as carrying out explanatory work among the population. The operation includes the organization of interaction of law enforcement ministries and departments to develop joint actions to block the channels for the receipt, transportation, combating the production and marketing of drug substances.
