Dushanbe, 25.06.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the framework of his working visit to GBAO Region visited Ghudara village of Savnob rural community of Rushon district, where he familiarized himself with the course of eliminating the consequences of natural disasters.

It should be recalled that as a result of a strong earthquake that hit on December 7, 2015 — 132 houses in 11 villages of Bartang Valley were completely destroyed as well as in Ghudara village — from 71 houses, 38 of them were completely destroyed and 26 — partially. From 16 hydro power plants that provide electricity to the residents, 11 of them were destroyed. The reconstruction work of hydro power plant Pasor with a capacity of 125 kW began in December 2015 and has been completed in June 2016 on the day of the working visit of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, a problem of shortage of electricity for residents of the villages Pasor, Bopasor and Ghudara was eliminated. To eliminate the problem of electricity shortage two power substations 10 / 0,4 kW have been installed and 7 km of power lines have been laid.

From the first minutes of the disaster on behalf of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon a working group was created that started to eliminate the consequences of natural disasters.

Prior to the President’s visit to rural community Savnob on the basis of the orders of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon affected residents were given 2 traffic engineering units and 1 tractor, residents were provided with communication, medical, television station to cover the state television signal, foodstuffs, building materials, fuel and other essential commodities.

The Head of State got familiarized with the construction of houses for the victims of the disaster, cut the symbolic ribbon and launched the first paved water line to the village.

The new water line is stretched at a distance of 6 km, and the cost of the work amounted to 286 thousand somoni.

The Leader of the Nation cut the symbolic ribbon and launched also a power transmission line that has been laid for the first time to the village.

Then the President of the country personally handed over to the inhabitants several keys to the houses. The residents of the village, calling their new home a worthy gift on the eve of the holiday of National Unity, expressed their gratitude to the Leader of the Nation for his constant support and care.

During familiarization with the construction works in newly built community, the Leader of the Nation called on decision-makers and builders to pay more attention to the delivery of building materials and construction works, to ensure that new buildings comply with the conditions of the terrain, and serve for many years.

After familiarization with the works on elimination of the consequences of natural disasters, President Emomali Rahmon held a sincere meeting with the residents of the village, in which decision-makers were instructed to address the problems of the residents.

The residents of rural community Savnob, in their turn, expressed gratitude to the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon for the elimination of consequences of the earthquake, as well as other assistance and support.
