The head of Committee for Emergency Situations left for Geneva to visit the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
Dushanbe, 22.08.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, the working visit of the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda began in the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Geneva /UNOCHA/.
According to press centre of the Committee, within the framework of the working visit, the head of CES will meet with the leaders of UNOCHA, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Partnership with the countries of Middle East and Central Asia, with the head of Administration of the International Committee of Red Cross for Europe and Central Asia, with heads of International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Director of UNOCHA, head of UNOCHA Department for Coordination of field work, and etc.
At the meetings it is planned to discuss the issues of disaster risk reduction in Tajikistan, the strengthening of capacity of training and retraining of personnel, and other important issues.
