EBRD funded $ 750 million in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 29.03.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Until today, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development /EBRD/ has funded 100 projects in the amount of $ 750 million in Tajikistan. Currently, cooperation in the field of implementation of 65 projects is continued. It was stated yesterday, on March 28, by Philipp Bennett, EBRD First Vice President, after the meeting with the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
EBRD First Vice President has noted that EBRD intends to provide a lot of works in the Republic of Tajikistan in order to bring more success. It was also stressed that at the meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan special attention was paid to the issues of financial services, banking, energy, utilities, improving the investment climate, business environment and private sector development.
Philip Bennett expressed confidence that with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan could be done many works in these fields in the next two years. In this context, the EBRD comprehensively supports the Republic of Tajikistan.
