DUSHANBE, 31.03.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Zarobiddin Qosimi, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a guest of honor attended and delivered speech at the opening of the second cultural and literary conference of “Dorajn”, which was held on the theme “Public and private cultural institutions: completed works and future horizons” in Dammam city, the centre of Kingdom’s eastern region. The conference took place under the auspices of the region’s Emir — Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Kingdom, and continued two days with an active participation of the heads of prominent cultural and literary institutions, field’s writers and researchers of various countries around the world.

As representative of Tajikistan, Sharif Komilzoda, Director of the Institute of Culture and Information of the Ministry of Culture of the country has attended and delivered speech in this conference.

During the speech of Zarobidin Qosimi and Sharif Komilzoda, as well as in the course of television interview of Ambassador to the Kingdom’s Cultural TV were offered interesting views and proposals on the cultural and literary relations between Tajik and Arab peoples, which originate from the depth of centuries and source from the rich folklore of the sons of two ancient nations, as well as on the ways to establish and expand further mutually beneficial relations. In particular, it was noted necessary to translate into Arabic and publish the best examples of the works of contemporary writers and intelligentsia for wide presentation in the Arab world.

The corner of Tajikistan with its beauty and attractiveness has attracted the great attention of the audience of the exhibition of cultural and literary achievements.

It should be noted that the course of this conference and the first participation of representatives of Tajikistan in the conference were widely covered by the media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries.
