Ambassador of Tajikistan to Japan held a meeting in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan
DUSHANBE, 07.04.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On April 7, 2017, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Hamrokhon Zarifi met with Kazuaki Kawabata, Director General for International Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.
According to the MFA Information Department, during the meeting, issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of education, science, technology, culture and sport were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the expansion of the number of scholarships for Tajikistan provided by the Government of Japan and development of effective cooperation in the exchange of experience in sphere of sports.
It is also reported that participants of the meeting agreed on a concrete set of proposals to enhance the mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. In particular, the parties discussed issues related to the holding of the first session of the Tajikistan-Japan Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
