Political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Belgium took place in Brussels
DUSHANBE, 20.10.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The first round of political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Belgium took place on October 16 at the Federal Public Service for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium in Brussels, MFA Infromation Department reports.
The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseinzoda, while Director General of the Federal Public Service for Foreign Affairs Ms. Anick van Calster headed the Belgian side.
During the meeting, the parties considered issues of bilateral, regional and international character.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the political, economic and investment spheres, as well as security and other areas of bilateral relations.
As part of his visit to Belgium, Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseinzoda has met with the Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation on relations with Central Asian countries Ms. Iveta Grigule. During the meeting, the sides discussed topics of the agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as the forthcoming visit of the delegation of the European Parliament to Dushanbe.
