DUSHANBE, 26.02.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. With a view to developing tourism, presenting our country’s unique tourism opportunities and national culture at the international stage, as well as attracting investment for tourism infrastructure improvement the President of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation His Excellency Emomali Rahmon declared 2018 as the Year of tourism and folk- crafts development.
The development of the tourism sector, preserving and promoting the character of national culture can be included to the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list. The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has supported today a national crafts, which one of its priority activities.
The Year of tourism and folk- crafts development contributes to the development of tourism and folk crafts, in particular carpet weaving, traditional Tajik gold embroidery, jewelry, pottery making and other arts.
The Government of Tajikistan with a view to encouraging population for production of public consumption goods and development of folk-crafts the sale of such products has released from all tax payments starting from January 1, 2018.
