DUSHANBE, 12.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On March 9-10, 2018, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, warmly greeting the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressed his confidence that his first visit to Tajikistan as the Head of State will give a powerful impetus to the development of the wide range of cooperation between the two countries.
The heads of state exchanged views on the current aspects of bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, cultural and humanitarian ties, and transportation, use of water and energy resources, security and defense, as well as further expansion of cooperation between the two countries’ provinces. Following the tete-a-tete meeting, Tajik – Uzbek talks were held with the participation of the delegations.
Following completion of talks, a ceremony of signing of a solid package of 27 bilateral documents took place.
