Inter-ministerial political consultations between Tajikistan and Finland were held in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 05.06.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On June 04, 2018 inter-ministerial political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Finland were held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the MFA Information Department, Tajik side was headed by the Head of the European and American Countries Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sohibnazar Gayratshoev and the Finish side was headed by the Director General of the Department for Russian, Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries Maimo Henriksson.
During the meeting the parties have discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural, educational, tourism spheres and cooperation between two countries within the international organizations.
The sides expressed their interest to strengthen inter-parliamentary and interdepartmental links, maintain trade relations and enhance legal basis of bilateral relations. Moreover, the sides stressed the interest to further expand cooperation under the new EU Strategy for Central Asia.
