Completion of the national strategy implementation for the development of Tajikistan’s statistics discussed in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 08.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Karimzoda met a World Bank mission led by Grigory Kisunko, a specialist for public sector and institutional reforms of the Department of Europe and Central Asia here in Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Finance of the country, the parties discussed issues related to the completion of the project “Implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2015-2018”. World Bank representatives noted that the final report on the project’s activities will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance for consideration in the near future.
World Bank, as part of the project implementation, provided a grant of $ 2.5 million. The main goal of the project is to support and reform the national statistical system in Tajikistan.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation and implement promising projects aimed at the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan.
