THE AIM OF THE TERRORISTS IS TO DESTABILIZE THE SOCIETY. Official appeal of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe
DUSHANBE, 17.09.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The latest events in Warsaw within the framework of OSCE events show that such an international organization as the OSCE considers reforms in Tajikistan not objectively, but tendentiously and unilaterally, using the policy of two-standard norms.
The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan expresses its extreme bewilderment on the activities of the OSCE structural units that openly cooperate with the so-called opposition organization declared extremist in Tajikistan, and support those who incite the interested circles against the independent republic of Tajikistan, which has embarked on the path of democracy, building of a social and legal state.
Are such acts part of the OSCE task, and how does it represent the norms of a democratic state?
Of course, Tajikistan is a democratic state. The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan declared the country independent, democratic, legal, secular, holistic and social. Tajikistan is a full member of the UN and other international organizations and has signed all international universal documents on the protection of human rights and the democratization of society. Tajikistan has its own Constitution, a legislative, independent and free judiciary.
The people are well aware that it was the acts of the TEO IRP that started the civil war in Tajikistan in the early 1990s, the victims of which were more than 150 thousand Tajiks.
On the basis of irrefutable facts, the Supreme Court declared the IRP as an extremist organization. But the OSCE, while allowing members of this organization to attend its meetings, demonstratively shows its commitment to a policy of two-standard norms.
The history has repeatedly proved that such acts never lead to positive results. We want the OSCE to be aware of its erroneous position, and its structural units and countries of the European Union, which gave terrorists refuge, realized the illegality of their acts.
Tajikistan, which passed through the crucible of an imposed civil war at the end of the 20th century, managed to extinguish the flame of fratricidal discord in the country, but the consequences of the last war did not become a lesson for those who were its initiator, namely for the renaissances and their foreign financiers, that’s why, the Tajiks, who knew the horrors of the civil war, are forced to declare the OSCE:
Dear sirs, a terrorist can not be good or bad, friend or foe, a terrorist — he is everywhere a terrorist, and his cherished goal is to destabilize the situation in society, undermining the socio-political foundations of the state.
If renaissances today found shelter in the heart of Europe, this does not mean that they have renounced their vile and dirty goals.
We express the hope that the OSCE will abandon its policy of two-standard norms, review and change its relation to the terrorist organization, such as the IRP.
