Ceremony of presenting state awards to Roghun HPP builders
DUSHANBE, 14.11.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 14, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented state awards to hundred Roghun HPP builders, who have made worthy contribution to the cause of launch of first hydro unit of the «arena» of honor and dignity. A ceremony for presenting state decorations took place in the Palace of Nation.
Speaking at the award ceremony, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, sincerely congratulated all those present in the hall on the occasion of an important historical event — the launch of the first hydro unit of the Roghun Hydropower Plant and the presentation of state awards.
The head of state noted that the Roghun hydropower plant is an important and strategic object of the country; therefore, the leadership of the state has been paying particular attention to the construction of hydroelectric power plant from the very beginning of gaining independence, and channels its resources and opportunities to build small and large-scale power plants throughout the country.
It was emphasized that the putting of temple of light — Roghun HPP into operation is the key factor of providing energy independence of Tajikistan, an important aspect of development of the national economy and increase in export potential of the country, most importantly, decent standards of living of Tajikistani population.
Among those who received state awards were engineers and ordinary workers of the Roghun HPP, who worked out on various part of the “arena” of honor and dignity.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan issued an Executive Order “On awarding the builders of the Rogun hydropower plant” for their fruitful activity and great contribution towards construction of the Rogun Dam, including were awarded the Order of Sharaf (Order of Glory) 2nd class, the Medal “Khizmati Shoista” (For Distinguished Service) and diplomas of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In addition, two of them were awarded the Order of Sharaf (Order of Glory) 2nd class and fifty-three builders were awarded the Medal “Khizmati Shoista” (For Distinguished Service).
The Leader of the Nation once again expressed gratitude to all workers for their worthy and constructive contribution and voiced confidence that they will continue to work even harder for the prosperity of our country, ensuring peace and stability of society, the development of the national economy and the realization of sustainable goals of the government.
