Delegation of Tajikistan attended the annual meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and Afghanistan
DUSHANBE, 19.11.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 16, the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in Bishkek held the eighth meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and Afghanistan.
According to the MFA Information Department of the country, the delegation of Tajikistan led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ismatullo Nasredin attended three sessions of the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of UNRCCA Ms. Natalia Gherman, and it’s opening session was addressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aydarbekov. Other countries of the region were also represented at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
During the event, issues related to strengthening security in the region, the activities of UNRCCA and further cooperation in peacebuilding in Central Asia were discussed.
The third session of the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, addressed issues relating to the situation in that country and its impact on the security of the region.
