President Emomali Rahmon Receives Credentials From Nine Foreign Ambassadors
DUSHANBE, 15.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – On March 15, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received credentials from nine foreign ambassadors. The ceremony took place at the Palace of the Nation.
Lu Bin of the People’s Republic of China, John Mark Pommersheim of the United States, Mohammad Taghi Saberi of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Janish Rustembekov of the Kyrgyz Republic, Carsten Søndergaard of the Kingdom of Denmark, Mohamed Shahid of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Carlos Antonio Alcala Cordones of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, David Maduka of the Republic of Congo, and Mohammed Yahaya of the Republic of Ghana presented their credentials and conveyed the sincere greetings of their state heads to President Emomali Rahmon.
President Emomali Rahmon congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors with their new posts as heads of diplomatic missions to Tajikistan and expressed his confidence that the ambassadors will put serious effort into developing and expanding the multilateral relations between Tajikistan and states that they represent.
“Tajikistan, relying on its Foreign Policy Concept, is continuously pursuing the promotion of inclusive cooperation with all foreign countries, both near and far,” he emphasized.
President Emomali Rahmon noted thefriendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan, its neighboring countries and those further away in Asia, Central Asia, the European Union, South America and Africa, and expressed hope that the newly appointedambassadors will focus their efforts toward achieving developmental goals of the states and a new level of qualitative and mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan.
President Emomali Rahmon also mentioned Tajikistan’s global initiatives in addressing issues relating to water, common global challenges, strengthening regional and global security and stability, international and regional cooperation, and the joint and effective fight against terrorism.
In closing, he once again congratulated all ambassadors on the official beginning of their important diplomatic mission and expressed the government’s readiness to promote their diplomatic activity.
