DUSHANBE, 15.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Novruz Ismail Oglu Mamedov, who arrived in Dushanbe on June 14 to attend the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) which will take place on June 15.

President Emomali Rahmon expressed his satisfaction with the level and quality of intergovernmental cooperation, both on a bilateral and multilateral basis between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.

The meeting focused on the most important topics relating to the intergovernmental cooperation of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in the fields of economy, trade, industry, transport and transportation infrastructure, hydropower, agriculture, communications, science, education, culture and tourism.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
