Signing of a Number of Laws
DUSHANBE, 20.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon approved a package of bills passed by the Assembly of Representatives and the National Assembly, including the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Craftsmanship and On Pastures,» “On Inspection of Activities of Economic Entities and Granting of Licenses for Certain Types of Activities,» the «Criminal Code» and the «Code of Administrative Offenses,» and the «Customs and Tax Codes.»
The Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Craftsmanship” was developed and adopted in order to fulfill the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon stated during the State of the Nation Address on December 26, 2018 and is associated with the declaration of 2019-2021 as the Period of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts, which is aimed at supporting the development of entrepreneurship, folk crafts, improving tourism, and the quality of life of the people.
The Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Pastures” has been modified, with issues relating to the use of pastures, rights and obligations of their users, control over the correct and efficient use of pastures, as well as other issues related to pastures fully resolved.
On the basis of the amendments made to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Inspection of Activities of Economic Entities,» the competence of the newly established state authorized body in the field of state control of public health and social protection of the population, in the areas of food security and civil aviation has been defined.
The amendments made on granting licenses for certain types of activities is aimed at the development of the Unified Electronic Register of Licenses, for improving the competence of the authorized state body in the field of licensing.
The amendments made to the criminal and administrative codes aim to prevent illegal connection of SIM cards to telecommunications networks and their use for the commitment of terrorism and extremist related crimes.
According to the changes and additions made to the Tax and Customs Codes of the Republic of Tajikistan, employees of the aforementioned bodies are now required to submit their income and property status statements.
