DUSHANBE, 31.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 31, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) determined the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for accounting and payment of customs duties as follows:

1 USD = 9.6872 TJS,

1 Euro = 10.8448 TJS,

1 Russian ruble = 0.1560 TJS.

Also on December 31, the average selling rate of cash foreign currencies in credit institutions of Tajikistan is:

1 USD – from 9.6872 to 9.7000 TJS,

1 Euro – from 10.8448 to 10.8000 TJS,

1 Russian ruble – from 0.1560 to 0.1580 TJS.

NBT warns that foreign exchange operations are prohibited outside bank branches, bank service center offices, as well as at ATMs and payment terminals located within the country. Failure to comply with these requirements will be considered a violation of the law and violators could face punitive damages and criminal charges.
