President Emomali Rahmon Signs an Instruction on Organizing the Contest Books – The Source of Knowledge
DUSHANBE, 05.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed an instruction on organizing the contest Books – The Source of Knowledge, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the state independence.
The decision was taken with the goal of increasing interest in reading books, strengthening intellectual potential, oratory skills, honoring national and cultural values, developing creative abilities, strengthening the sense of self-knowledge and self-awareness.
Instructions have been forwarded to the Ministries of Education and Science, Culture, Writers’ Union, Committee for TV and Radio Broadcasting, Committees of Youth Affairs and Sports, Women and Family Affairs, the Committee on Religious Affairs and cities and districts to take measures to encourage participation and award winners and their mentors with prizes.
The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to allocate 1,646,400 somoni in cash from the Presidential Fund for the winners.
