Tajik CCER Chairman Khudoyorzoda Meets with OSCE/ODIHR Mission Head Eberhard
DUSHANBE, 18.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Chairman of the Tajik Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER), Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda met with the OSCE/ODIHR mission led by Paul Eberhard.
The meeting was held as part of preparation for the elections of the Assembly of Representatives and local Assembly of People’s Deputies, reports the CCER Press Center.
The parties exchanged views on the preparations for the upcoming important political campaign.
“Based on the requirements of the country’s electoral legislation, the comission has created equal conditions for the subjects of the electoral process to conducting healthy political competition,” Khudoyorzoda informed about the preparation work done for the elections
“Campaigns, meetings with voters, appearances on TV, radio and through periodicals, during which they present their electoral programs to voters, continues throughout the republic,” Khudoyorzoda added.
While noting CCER’s activities in terms of working with women, youth and persons with disabilities, Eberhard praised the process of preparing for the elections.
Following the meeting, the parties noted that the activities of international observers contribute to transparent and open elections.
