Tajikistan Receives Essential Protective Supplies to Prevent COVID-19 Outbreak
DUSHANBE, 29.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A new batch of personal protective supplies has been purchased to prevent the emergence and spread of the coronavirus. These supplies will be distributed in 25 healthcare institutions.
The supplies which have been officially handed over to the Tajik Ministry of Health include 1,863 disposable coveralls, 1,000 sanitary gloves, 2,000 respirators, 1,500 masks, 1,000 goggles, 1,500 plastic face shields, 6,000 kilograms of chlorine, 2,000 sanitizers, 100 ultraviolet lamps, 1,000 disposable caps, 1,000 disposable shoe covers and 50 thermo-scanners.
This medical supplies worth more than 500,000 somoni has been procured with the technical support from UNICEF Tajikistan and financial support of Swiss Cooperation Office and Consular Agency in Tajikistan.
