URGENT: Number of COVID-19 Death Cases Reaches 14
DUSHANBE, 08.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – There are 61 new COVID-19 cases in Tajikistan as of today, bringing the total number to 522. The number of those who could not recover has reached 14 people, reports the Tajik Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
Of those, 223 cases are registered in Dushanbe, 83 cases in cities and districts of the republican subordination, 18 cases in GBAO, 59 cases in Khatlon and 139 cases in Sughd province.
As of May 8, 4,286 people have been under medical supervision and 420 people have been discharged over the past 24 hours.
The Tajik government and the Ministry of Health are currently taking all the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus and treat those that have been infected.
The Health Ministry urges all the country’s residents to strictly follow the rules of personal hygiene in order to prevent the spread of this virus, and in case of onset of symptoms to immediately consult a family doctor.
