Sughd’s Hospitals Have a Decline in COVID-19 Patients
DUSHANBE, 21.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The number of COVID-19 cases in Sughd region is declining. This information was provided during a meeting of the regional COVID-19 prevention commission, which was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Government’s Executive Representative in Sughd Shirin Ismatullozoda.
The regional commission’s meetings are being held daily at 19:00 in Khujand’s Sugdiyon Hotel under the chairmanship of Ismatullozoda.
During the meetings, reports are given by industry leaders, including the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the population Aziz Odinazoda, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Rustam Shohiyon, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Women and Family Affairs Nigora Gafforzoda, the Deputy Chairman of Sughd Zainura Azimi, head of the regional health department Farrukh Maksudzoda, vice-chairmen of Khujand, heads of medical centers, heads of ambulance stations, the State Inspectorate of Health and Social Protection of the Population, the management of the Fire Service, youth organizations and women’s councils.
During the recent meeting, it was noted that explanatory work and home visits organized by doctors, nurses and more than 900 volunteers in Khujand have yielded positive results. Currently, COVID-19 cases have decreased and hospitals are gradually becoming less occupied.
