New Virology Laboratory Opens in Bokhtar
BOKHTAR, 27.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A new virology laboratory opened yesterday in Bokhtar, Khatlon region.
According to the head of the regional Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Nurullo Boyakov, the laboratory was opened with the support of the government and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
“The laboratory specializes in COVID-19 diagnosis with the ability to accommodate 150-200 people daily. Laboratory services are free,” said Boyakov.
“All the laboratory specialists have undergone a special training course at the Institute of Preventive Medicine of Tajikistan,” added Boyakov.
A similar virology laboratory is also open in Kulob.
Earlier, COVID-19 test had to be sent to Dushanbe. The new laboratories allow for local diagnosis.
