EU and UNICEF Provide Hospitals with Artificial Respiration Devices
DUSHANBE, 03.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Per government’s initiative, the European Union (EU) and UNICEF have provided local hospitals with artificial respiration devices designed for the treatment of COVID-19.
Particularly, with EU funding UNICEF donated four artificial respiration devices to the administration of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).
These devices will be installed in the Oncology Center of Khorog Hospital and hospitals in Murghob, Vanj and Ishkoshim. Additionally, training courses for relevant medical staff on the effective use of these devices will be also be held at these centers.
“These devices are an important part of our fight against the coronavirus in the region. They will allow patients to recover in a timely manner,” said GBAO Chairman Yodgor Faizov.
