Polish Medical Group Arrives in Tajikistan for Experience Exchange
DUSHANBE, 08.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A group of 16 Polish physicians arrived in Tajikistan on Saturday.
They were welcomed at the Dushanbe International Airport by the First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MHSPP) Saida Umarzoda.
The group is also accompanied by three experts from the World Health Organization (WHO).
The group will visit different parts of Tajikistan and during a month of their stay will exchange experience with Tajik doctors.
Following the visit of the WHO technical staff to Tajikistan on May 1-11, the experts of the WHO Regional Bureau submitted reports and recommendations to the MHSPP, one of which was to invite emergency teams to work with Tajik health professionals.
The government, the MHSPP and other relevant agencies have been putting much effort aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.
