Polish Doctors Share Experience with Khorog Colleagues
DUSHANBE, 12.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A group of Polish doctors, who have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating COVID-19, travelled to Khorog to get acquainted with the condition of infected patients.
According to the chief doctor of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region’s Hospital Saidbek Davlatbekov, Polish doctors mainly help their Tajik counterparts in diagnosing and treating patients.
“They have better experience and also have modern mobile laboratories,” said Davlatbekov.
“Since the emergence of COVID-19 in Tajikistan, 940 people have been hospitalized in the region with symptoms of the disease. Most of them have recovered, and 115 people are under medical supervision,” added Davlatbekov.
“In addition to diagnosing and treating patients, we also teach doctors, who are very vulnerable to this disease, effective protective measures. Because since the outbreak, doctors have suffered the most. Also, we are studying the experience of Tajik doctors and will use it in the future when traveling to other parts of the world,” said Polish doctor Anna Benombekova.
