Ministry of Labor Holds Online Meeting with the EU Ambassador
DUSHANBE, 16.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population Gulru Jabborzoda held an online meeting with the head of the EU Delegation to Tajikistan Marilyn Josefsson.
The parties discussed current issues and prospects for the development of cooperation between the Ministry and the EU, including the implementation of projects aimed at strengthening basic vocational education, migration and employment.
The parties agreed to strengthen joint efforts to reduce the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labor market and migration. Josefsson expressed her readiness to develop the field’s regulations — strategies, relevant programs and capacity building of the ministry.
Jabborzoda expressed satisfaction with the implementation of joint projects with the EU Delegation in various areas.
The meeting also focused on other issues relating to the development of bilateral cooperation, including technical assistance in the field of migration and vocational training of young people, as well as the training of highly qualified personnel.
