DUSHANBE, 27.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – In order to protect public health, ensure the safety of the population and prevent the spread of the second wave of this infectious disease,  gatherings, house-to-house visits and festive celebrations on Eid al-Adha Day are no longer permitted, informs the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission.

The decision was made in collaboration with the Committee for Religion, Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies. All administrations of regions, cities and districts and permanent local commissions have been instructed to strengthen explanatory work among the population on compliance with these requirements.

Along with this, the commission calls on the country’s residents to act on the basis of the recommendations of health professionals and strictly observe the rules of personal and public hygiene, social distancing and the use of medical masks.
