Health Ministry Considers Necessary to Take Additional Measures to Prevent COVID-19

DUSHANBE, 07.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A regular meeting of the Commission of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan was held yesterday. The meeting focused on taking specific measures to prevent COVID-19 and treat infected patients.
The meeting was attended by Minister Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, his deputies Ghafur Muhsinzoda, Samariddin Alizoda, Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda, heads of a number of ministry’s subdivisions, as well as heads of regional health departments and a number of district and city hospitals.
The meeting focused on the issues relating to the strict control of COVID-19 patients and those getting treatment at home under the supervision of doctors, in-depth analysis of the pandemic in the country, and other issues.
Abdullozoda drew the attention of the heads of health facilities to the issue of monitoring patients and providing them with medicines and strengthening preventive measures.
Abdullozoda also gave specific instructions to officials to further improve medical services and eliminate existing shortcomings.
