Youth Union Nominates Emomali Rahmon for the Presidential Post

DUSHANBE, 31.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the 14th Extraordinary Congress of the Youth Union of Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe, where deputies unanimously nominated the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon as a presidential candidate.
The forum was attended by veterans, representatives of public organizations working with youth and a representative of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda.
The Chairman of the Youth Union Abdullo Rahmonzoda noted that since the first days of its existence, the Youth Union has united young people, regardless of their political views, social status and religion. “The Union has been guided by the motto For the Unity and Progress of Tajikistan and called on the youth to unite, friendship and raise the level of political awareness,” added Rahmonzoda.
He mentioned that the Youth Union was one of the first, along with other organizations, at its Extraordinary Congress on March 17, 1994, representing all the youth of the country, nominated and supported the candidacy of Emomali Rahmon for the presidential post.
