DUSHANBE, 27.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – As previously reported, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the European Council Charles Michel at the initiative of the European side.
I had an exchange with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the situation in Afghanistan and the implications for Central Asia and the recently issued statement of the Tajik government, European Council President said.
“We agreed with Emomali Rahmon on the need for a representative and inclusive Afghan government and importance of our Border Management cooperation in Central Asia to combat terrorism and trafficking of drugs. Looking forward to our meeting in Brussels in October” — he wrote on his Twitter account.
