Emomali Rahmon Attends Military Parade on 30th Anniversary of State Independence

DUSHANBE, 07.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Emomali Rahmon attended the military parade marking the 30th anniversary of state independence.
Over 30,000 service personnel, law enforcement personnel, officers, as well as army reserve soldiers took part in the military parade.
Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Sherali Mirzo reported to President Rahmon on the readiness of the military parade.
Congratulating the parade participants on the 30th anniversary of independence, President Rahmon emphasized the historic role of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies in restoring the constitutional order, ensuring peace and political stability.
He noted that the patriotic service of the military invokes pride.
“Hundreds of our brave officers and soldiers gave their lives in the name of peace and stability. Their good name shall not be forgotten,” he added.
“We are proud of the conscientious and patriotic service of the officers, that is, the brave and courageous sons of the nation,» he added.
“I am confident that they will continue to fulfill their mission with honor before our homeland and state,” he continued.
President Rahmon also stressed that the people and the government of Tajikistan see soldiers and officers of the national army as the defenders of peace, stability, and unity.
He spoke of the situation in the region and the world, and the emergence of new challenges in the face of terrorists, extremists, radicals, cartels, illegal arms trafficking, and cybercrime, which is a cause for serious concern for all.
“According to the analysis and forecasts, this situation will become even more acute,” he said.
In this regard, he called on representatives of the Armed Forces, security, and intelligence agencies of Tajikistan to take all the necessary measures to ensure the protection of the state border, public and state security, safety of civilians, and to maintaine a high level of combat readiness.
