Tajikistan Receives 698,500 Doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine

DUSHANBE, 01.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 1, an additional 698,500 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine have been delivered to Tajikistan, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
To date, five types of vaccines have been imported to Tajikistan , totalling 6,137,700 doses, the ministry said.
Of the total number that should be vaccinated against COVID-19, as of November 30, 3,206,063 people or 51.8% of the population has been vaccinated. Also, 2,590,545 people or 44.5% of the population have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The ministry notes that vaccination is one of the main ways to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection.
