DUSHANBE, 22.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – “Today there is an ongoing new wave of COVID-19 with the resulting deaths in many countries of the world. With this in mind, I would like to highlight that though our country is free from this disease, our people should still take this issue seriously. Vigilance remains important, as does following the advice of experts and doctors,” said President Emomali Rahmon in his annual Address to the Supreme Assembly.
He noted that those coming from foreign countries need to be under the supervision of doctors.
“People also need to think about the health of their family members, relatives, and the community at large,” he said.
President Emomali Rahmon noted that although 60% of the population has been vaccinated, vaccination efforts need to be intensified, as it is the only effective way to remain safe from this disease.
