President Orders Government to Create National Translation Center

DUSHANBE, 27.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, President Emomali Rahmon instructed the government to create a National Translation Center under the government of Tajikistan.
“In order to ensure access to world literature, especially scientific literature, and to present the history and culture of the Tajik people in foreign languages through historical, cultural and artistic works, it is necessary to create a separate center for the translation of scientific and artistic works,” he noted.
In this regard, President Emomali Rahmon instructed the government to prepare and approve the necessary legal documents for its establishment within three months.
He noted that the government has been paying special attention to the issue of teaching foreign languages, and state programs have been adopted at several stages to improve the teaching of foreign languages.
The implementation of the State Program for Improving the Teaching and Learning of Russian and English for the period up to 2030 was launched in January 2021.
President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that now, due to the open door policy, Tajikistan is cooperating with the whole world.
In this regard, employees of border checkpoints, including customs officers, border guards, and employees of service establishments are required to know foreign languages.
