Medical Point Renovated in Jaloliddin Balkhi District

DUSHANBE, 13.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On January 11, the temporary accommodation center for possible refugees, persons who may suffer in the event of a natural disaster in the Jaloliddin Balkhi district hosted a ceremony of acceptance and delivery of the renovated medical point.
The ceremony was attended by a delegation of the World Health Organization, heads and representatives of a number of international organizations accredited in Tajikistan.
The point was built within the framework of international cooperation of the Committee with international partners in the field of disaster risk reduction.
The point allows, in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency, to provide about 100 families who have lost their homes or property with the necessary minimum of things: tents, first aid kits, water containers, hygiene kits, pillows and blankets, kitchen sets.
The point is provided with drinking water, electricity, and other needed facilities.
