DUSHANBE, 19.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 18 in Minsk, the parliamentary delegation of Tajikistan led by the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda took part in a regular offsite meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

The meeting focused on topical issues of international and regional security.

Zokirzoda noted that today’s meeting will be a good opportunity to summarize some of the results and discuss the prospects for further development of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

“Tajikistan pays constant attention to issues of security and stability within the framework of the CSTO,” he said.

Totally, 14 topical issues were discussed, on which an appropriate decision was made.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Belarus Mahmadsharif Hakdod and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan at the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States Bakhtovar Safarzoda.
