DUSHANBE, 10.06.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. «Today it is obvious to us how serious the problem of water shortage has become. To solve it we need to unite, that is why we came to Dushanbe to share our experience and find solutions to this problem». This was announced by Vice President of Zambia Mutale Nalumango during her visit to Tajikistan.
Mutale Nalumango noted: “We have come for proper water resources management. I think this issue is of great importance for the Republic of Zambia».
She said: “This conference will take place at a time when Zambia is going through a period that Zambia has not faced before. The challenge of access to clean water is increasing day by day due to the increase in population and various sectors of the economy. This process, which is considered one of the major challenges in the world, encourages us to use water wisely.»
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on April 2015 in the Republic of Korea at the opening ceremony of the Seventh World Water Forum expressed his opinion on the results of the International Decade of Action “Water for Life, 2005-2015”, the goal of which was to halve the population in need of drinking water.
During his speech, the President of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, stated: “The issue of drinking water shortage is not a problem of any one country or region, but of the whole world, as water is one of the most important factors for the survival of mankind”.
Today, reputable international organizations speak about Tajikistan’s good initiatives and express gratitude to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, for his continuous efforts to solve water problems. This step is a sign that Tajikistan cannot stay aside from solving problems of the peoples of other countries.
