DUSHANBE, 12.08.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 12, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received in the Palace of the Nation the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Zijin” Mining Industry Corporation of the People’s Republic of China Chen Jinghe.
During the meeting, issues of current cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and this Chinese company and future joint plans were discussed.
As mentioned, this company is engaged in the production of copper and other precious and non-ferrous metals in Tajikistan, and more than 2,700 people from the local population are employed in its enterprises.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the Tajik side welcomes the implementation of new investment projects that are important for the country’s economy.
It was expressed confidence that the volume of production and the number of jobs in the company’s enterprises in Tajikistan will double in the near future.
