DUSHANBE, 12.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 12, the Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during his working visit to Tojikobod district, visited the construction process of a new settlement in the village of Safedmun of the Qalai labi ob rural community.

Now Safedmun village has 430 households and 4 thousand inhabitants. The newly built neighborhood will consist of 60 apartments intended for the needy segment of the district, including orphans, disabled people, the poor and the like. The project of this facility will be built on the basis of the cooperation of the Charitable Fund «Tojikiston» with foreign development partners.

According to the project, the Head of State was informed about the infrastructure of the constructed facilities. It was mentioned that in the newly built neighborhood, all the necessary means and opportunities to ensure the living conditions and social life of the residents have been considered. All residential houses will be built and equipped according to the same project in the area of 500 square meters with 3 rooms, bathroom, canteen, household appliances, and will be presented to the residents. These houses will also be connected to road networks, potable water, electricity and heating. The courtyards and streets of the neighborhood are decorated with flowers and bushes, decorative trees, greenery and beautiful lights.

The neighborhood will also have a general education institution with 670 students in 2 shifts, a medical center, trade and entertainment facilities and other necessary infrastructure.

After the completion of the construction works, it is planned to donate 8 beehives to each household to improve the well-being of the residents and provide them with adequate employment.

The Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during the meeting, gave instructions and guidance to the officials to carry out the remaining works more efficiently.

According to the officials, the construction of this well-designed modern neighborhood, which is ongoing as part of preparations for the well-deserved reception of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of beloved Tajikistan, will be completed by December of this year.

Under the guidance of the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon, the development partners from the United Arab Emirates stated that they will also finance the construction of a preschool for 100 children in this new neighborhood.
