DUSHANBE, 15.01.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, as part of the state visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, the Institute of Tajik-Persian Culture opened in Dushanbe, reports Khovar correspondent.

Tajik Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyon noted that the opening of the Institute of Tajik-Persian Culture lays a solid foundation for the formation of a new stage of scientific and cultural ties.

It was noted that the reopening of the Institute brings new trends for the expansion of bilateral scientific cooperation. Its activities in Tajikistan began in 1995 and continued for almost 20 years. Throughout its activity, this institution has played an important role in publishing the classical heritage, literary studies, scientific and educational works of great Tajik scientists and literary scholars, as well as in scientific research cooperation between scientists of both countries.

“I am confident that in the continuation of the activities of the Institute of Tajik-Persian Culture, research will be conducted on the joint heritage, popularization of literary, cultural, historical and musical achievements of the peoples,” said Sattoriyon.

The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, said that “today, with the opening of this institute, the relations and ties of cultural cooperation between the two countries will become closer. All this shows that the cultural and friendly relations between Tajikistan and Iran are further strengthening and expanding. This cultural cooperation will bring even greater success to the two nations in the future.”

It was also noted that scientific research will be conducted in this institute in the future for the cultural presentation and study of valuable works of writers and poets of the two countries.

Representative of the Institute of Tajik-Persian Culture Hussein Ali Rahimi said that “we are trying to hold cultural forums and research in the field of literature and linguistics within the framework of cooperation.”

He added that one of the books published in this institute many years ago is the book of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, “Language of the Nation-Being of the Nation.” This book was also translated into Persian and published in Iran.

“Today, the most important topic throughout the world is the originality of the language. The attention of the Head of the Tajik state to this topic, writing a book on this topic, showing the writing of the Tajik language is very important. We published this book and presented it to Iranian society,” Rahimi said.

The Institute of Tajik-Persian Culture consists of four offices, where books by writers and poets of the two countries, are kept, as well as those that have been translated into Persian.
