DUSHANBE, 17.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 17, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, participated and delivered a speech at the Republican Seminar-Consultation of farmers and meeting with activists in Dangara district, Khatlon Province.
The event was attended by heads of regions, cities and districts of the country, and activists of Dangara district.
During his speech, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, summed up the results of his working trip to Dangara district and analyzed the actual situation in the sectors of the national economy of Tajikistan, including industry, agriculture, and other sectors.
The Head of State considered issues related to ensuring the regular operation of sectors, increasing production efficiency, raising the level of land and water use culture, as well as the state of construction and improvement works in the country, and set specific tasks for officials of cities and districts.
It was emphasized that in the first four months of this year, the growth rate of the national economy increased by 8.2 percent, and the inflation rate was 1.8 percent. During this period, the state budget revenue plan was implemented by 110.6 percent, ensuring financing of the country’s socio-economic sectors.
While analyzing the investment situation, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, instructed relevant ministries and departments and executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts to radically expand their activities to attract direct investment for the implementation of the country’s strategic goals, including rapid industrialization and the creation of new jobs.
It was noted that in order to expand the process of sustainable development of sectors of the national economy, the Address of the Head of State declared 2025-2030 as the «Years of Development of the Digital Economy and Innovation».
In this regard, the use of digital technologies and the transition to a full-fledged non-cash payment system in the activities of state bodies and various sectors were called a pressing requirement of the modern era.
Speaking at the Republican Seminar-Consultation of Farmers and meeting with activists, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon set specific tasks for the development and progress of important sectors of the national economy.
Providing the country’s population with permanent jobs was considered another issue that needed to be resolved.
The Head of State Emomali Rahmon called energy saving and efficient use of electricity a basic and important condition for achieving energy independence in the country.
Recalling the threats and dangers of the modern world, climate change and their impact on the national economy, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon considered it necessary for people to take all necessary measures to protect food security in the country and to fully and effectively use all available opportunities and resources to reduce the dependence of the consumer market on imported goods and products.
According to the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, in this process, priority and constant attention should be given to organizing the systematic activity of all sectors of the national economy, steadily continuing construction and innovation plans, creating new jobs, attracting as much domestic and foreign investment as possible, effectively using existing resources, finding additional sources of development, and other measures.
