Dushanbe International Glaciers’ Preservation Conference to Bring Over 2.200 Participante from Around the World

DUSHANBE, 26.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – From May 29 to 31, Dushanbe will host the High-Level International Conference on Glacier Preservation, bringing together over 2.200 participante from around the world. The event is part of the UN-declared International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation, initiated by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon.
The event will be attended by representatives of 65 UN member states and 70 international organizations, including one Prime Minister, five Vice-Presidents, five UN Under-Secretaries-General, eleven ministers and other dignitaries.
It is expected that the conference will become an important milestone in the development of international solutions for the preservation of glaciers and the fight against climate change, the urgency of which is becoming more and more acute every year.
The conference will conclude with the adoption of several key documents, including the Dushanbe Declaration on Glaciers,
