Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, recognized the commencement of direct passenger flights between the capitals Dushanbe and Beijing as a significant mileston.

On 16 June, the first direct passenger flights between Dushanbe and Beijing were officially launched. The inaugural flight connecting the two capitals was operated by a Chinese airline.
The first flight on the Beijing–Dushanbe route was performed on a Boeing 787 aircraft. Subsequently, flights will be operated twice weekly using Boeing 737-8 aircraft, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The aircraft departs from Beijing Daxing International Airport at 17:00 local time and arrives at Dushanbe International Airport at 21:00 local time. The return flight departs from Dushanbe at 22:30 local time and arrives in Beijing the next day at 07:20 local time. The flight duration on the Beijing–Dushanbe route is approximately 7 hours one way and about 6 hours for the return journey.
