DUSHANBE, 28.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 28, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Head of the Government of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

At the meeting, first of all, the Chairman of the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education, Farhod Rahimi, reported on the Program for the Development of Primary and Secondary Vocational Education in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030.

It was emphasized that the program was developed to address the problems of the primary and secondary vocational education sectors, including modernizing the education system, strengthening the material and technical base, repairing and constructing educational buildings, laboratories and workshops, retraining and improving the qualifications of teachers and educational foremen, enhancing the quality of training of workers, digitizing primary and secondary vocational education sectors, and increasing the coverage of young people in vocational training.

After reviewing the program, a decree was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to implement it.

Relevant ministries and agencies were instructed to implement the program within the allocated funds and submit information on its results to the Government of the country annually.

Then, the State Program for the Development of Digital Television Broadcasting in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 was discussed.

It was stated that the purpose of the program is to fully cover the regions of the country with the wave of state television and radio channels in digital broadcasting, as well as to improve the infrastructure and meet the information needs of society and citizens.

It was decided to approve the program and action plan and ensure its effective implementation.

The meeting also discussed work on developing a forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2027 and its main parameters for 2028-2029.

After considering the issues on the agenda of the meeting, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, set tasks for the implementation of instructions and assignments and the implementation of constructive goals for officials in relevant sectors.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of State drew the attention of the heads of state structures to the issues of preparation for the autumn and winter of 2025-2026 and improvement and construction works, including the expansion of measures to properly prepare for the celebration of the national holiday — 35th anniversary of state independence, and set specific tasks for the responsible officials.
