DUSHANBE, 17.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 17, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali inaugurated the new building of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on Shevchenko Street, Ismoili Somoni district, Dushanbe.

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon was informed that the administrative building consists of 9 floors and a basement, where the offices of the management, departments and divisions of the central apparatus, centers for the implementation of state investment projects in the field of the environment, and other organizations and institutions of the Committee, which previously operated in other places, are located.

During a tour of the conditions and opportunities provided in the newly built facility, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon highly appreciated the quality of construction work.

At the new Center for Digitalization and Innovation, located on the first floor of the newly built administrative building of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the Program for Digitalization of the Environment, which is managed using artificial intelligence, and had a sincere and constructive conversation with a group of specialists in the field.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, called on young specialists to effectively use favorable conditions and opportunities and serve faithfully for the benefit of their state and nation.

At the same time, the mentioned center has a digitization department, monitoring tree growth, monitoring landfills, weather conditions, determining the location of specially protected natural areas using satellite images, and other departments, and experienced programmers and specialists have been recruited to work in this center.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that a special hall equipped with modern equipment has been established in the Center for Digitalization and Innovation, using which experienced specialists and chief specialists of the Committee remotely provide recommendations and consultations to inspectors from different regions of the country during various state control operations and, if necessary, to them.

It was reported that the administrative building has 92 office rooms, a meeting hall with 150 seats, a canteen, a library, the Committee’s archive, two conference rooms, a basement for official vehicles, and 100 solar panels with a capacity of 70 kW/h.

The new building of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was built in accordance with the instructions and guidelines of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, and high-quality domestic products, such as seranite stones, granite, marble, and ceramic tiles, were used in the construction work.

Construction work began in 2022, and the customer for the construction of the facility is the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the main contractor is the domestic company “Maqsad” Limited Liability Company.

The construction of the administrative building was carried out at the expense of special funds of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The building is illuminated, evergreen trees and seasonal flowers have been planted.

The opening of the more beautiful and modern building of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was called a worthy gift to environmental workers on the days of celebrating the 34th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, called on workers and officials of this sector to use the created conditions and opportunities to direct all their efforts to ensure environmental health in the country.

In turn, the country’s environmental workers expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, for his continued care and support.
