Ankara hosted Culture Day of Tajikistan, reports Khovar citing Embassy of Tajikistan in Turkey.
The event was organised on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Turkey in conjunction with Tajik students studying at universities in Ankara.
The cultural programme of the Republic of Tajikistan included various sections, including readings of classical poetry, Shahnameh-honi, performances of traditional Tajik music and theatrical performances. All performances were presented by students at a high professional level, clearly demonstrating the rich cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ankara, YTB management and staff, representatives of the host country’s government agencies, the media, as well as a wide range of Tajik and Turkish students and representatives of other nationalities.
As part of the event, a national cultural exhibition was organised, featuring valuable Tajik books, national clothing, works of art and examples of folk crafts. The exhibits vividly reflected the ancient history, rich culture and civilization heritage of the Tajik people.
