Tajikistan Hosts Landmark FAO Regional Conference Bringing Together Global Agricultural Leaders

The 35th session of the Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for Europe and Central Asia is being held in Dushanbe for the first time in Central Asia’s history, the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan said.
More than 550 participants from 54 member and observer countries, as well as 20 international and regional organizations, are expected to attend. Registration on the event’s official website was open until May 4.
The conference will bring together FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, ministers, deputy ministers, ambassadors and heads of international and regional organizations.
The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has extended invitations to 54 FAO member countries, five observer countries and 46 international organizations.
